Storage

The Storage service of MetalSoft offers access to remote storage via various protocols:

• iSCSI

• FiberChannel

Storage provisioning involves not just volume provisioning and security mapping with the host or hosts to which it will be attached but also network provisioning building secure networks via either dedicated L2 networks for each tenant or FC Zoning (upcoming).

Supported equipment includes:

• Dell/EMC devices running PowerMaxOS 5978, PowerMaxOS10 (6079), HyperMax OS 5977

• Dell/EMC ScaleIO/PowerFlex

• NetApp devices running ONTAP 8,9 (upcoming)

• Adding a new storage pool
  • Adding a new storage pool
• Managing storage pools
  • Putting a storage pool in maintenance mode
  • Performing an emergency reboot of all connected servers
  • Cleaning up unused templates
